Problem Video Gaming

According to the 2015 Ontario Student Drug Use and Health Survey (OSDUHS), 11% (8.7%, 14.8%) of Simcoe Muskoka students (Grades 7-12) reported problem video gaming in the past year, which was similar to the provincial average of 12.5% (11.1%, 14.1%). Simcoe Muskoka male students (17% (12.3%, 22.2%)) reported significantly higher problem video gaming than did female students (6% (3.1%, 9.9%)). Those with lower perceived socioeconomic status (SES) also reported significantly higher problem video gaming when compared with students with higher perceived SES.
